It snowed a lot last night and today... and tonight it's going to be -10° C!!! *traumatized*
I don't want to think about the state of the roads tomorrow!!

And tonight, last Merlin of the series!!! Nooo! It went so fast...I'm going to miss it, even if this season has been disappointing on many levels!

So, long time no update!
To revive this journal, I'm going to post some pictures I have taken of my youngest cats. They are siblings, one female (Kiki), and one male (Pinky). They are adorable, even though sometimes they are annoying in their need for attention and food (food, mainly).

So, my last 5 or so entries got no comments at all...so I doubt anyone cares about what I post! °_o LOL Anyway, I have been pretty active with PS in these last few days... I think I needed an escape from the thesis of doom. And, I've fallen in love with Merlin (can't wait for season 2), so I had to open PS!

Yesterday I spent 2 hours on the stupid, unorganized uni site to fill out the application form for graduating (which I have to hand in to the the admissions office as soon as my professor signs it). It was an odyssey, I have never seen such a mess of a site! Booooooo!!! With it, I'll have to give back the academic tanscript and all that jazz... this is finally making it feel real. It's the point of no return... I'm a little all over the place.. feel like crying. For many different reasons!

Anyway, I have still thesis stuff to sort out, but I don't care! I feel completely "what is done is done". But I'll better make an effort.

In the meantime, I made a House wallpaper from 5x24. I love the show. I couldn't find decent Wilson caps to manipulate the head, and it's bugging the hell out of me...maybe, when I have time I can go back and fix it (as if).

Sacrifice

In the last couple of weeks I must have attempted and deleted at least 7 -8 wallpapers...they were abominations. I was totally disheartened by how much I sucked. Then, yesterday I was hit by an idea, and then adapted it for a challenge at Buffyforums. Finally I managed to create something that still doesn't totally satisfy me, but that doesn't make me throw up either. So, that's progress, right? LOL It's worrying, though, that in order to create a half-decent wallpaper I have to abort 3985 other attempts... it doesn't seem worth the effort (and time wasted)!

Anyway, the wallaper is about Davis from Smallville (yes, SV is TEH EVIL, and I hate it because of how it always lets me down...but I also always end up forgiving it, and sticking with it! LOL ), and the duality inside him.

Since today I have been particularly unproductive, I made a wallpaper, which is a better way to waste time than staring blankly at the monitor (or so I guess!). I haven't posted anything in some time, I have been lazy, and neglecting LJ. Anyway, here it is, for those interested!

My heart goes out to the people in Abruzzo who lost family and friends, and who were left homeless by the earthquake. I am saddened by the irreparable loss of centuries-old works of art, that this time didn't withstand. I hope those people find the strenght to carry on!

I am not reading the Btvs season 8 comics...I was against them from the beginning, I hate them, because I believe that when a show is over, it is over (like it happens 99,9% of the times). I don't agree with moving it to a different medium...I was satisfied with the way they wrapped up Btvs: Chosen may not have been perfect, but for me it was a great ending. It came full circle, it closed a chapter on Buffy's life, setting her up for a brighter, more hopeful future. There was no need to go there again... I also liked how they left Buffy's ships of doom... Spuffy and Bangel shippers were both given something, they were treated equally, and everyone could imagine what they wanted from there on.

Now, I have read something that really upset me, I'm gutted! :(

3 walls I have made for a challenge about fairytales on BF... one from Firefly, the others are manipulations (my first 2 attempts at manipulation..so, they are not perfect, but I think they turned out allright, all things considered!) of Buffy and Spuffy.

Yesterday I was sitting in front of my computer, doing nothing..and I had the urge to open PS. I took some random caps of Lost 5x04 (like I always do...I rarely start with a concept..I usually pick the images, and go with it!) , and this is the result. It's very simple! And I spent ages (bugging people) trying to find a quote/something that fitted with what I wanted to portray (because in the making of the wallpaper, I figured it out, eventually! lol), and I think the one I picked kinda works!
